About Us

Before we get into the specifics of this position, we’d love to introduce ourselves briefly… We’re dreamers. Eight years ago, we envisioned a way to pursue our passions, contribute to Manitoban culture, and build something special. That vision was a brewery which would become our love letter to Manitoba. To honour our province’s past as we shaped its future, we named it Nonsuch.

Opportunity to grow

As our young company grows, new positions develop for our Nonsuch family members. These opportunities are both linear (such as moving from ‘assistant brewer’ to ‘brewer’) and lateral (shifting into other parts of the business.)

Primary Responsibilities

 

Connections are at the heart of all great moments. The primary responsibility of this role is to help align our team (internally) and connect our brand to our audience (externally).

 
 

general

  • Meet with various department leads to understand marketing needs

  • Coordinate with communications-related vendors (photographers, videographers, etc.)

  • Authorizing and sharing communication standards

  • Sharing internal communications updates

  • Planning, developing, and directing multiple avenues of marketing strategies to drive sales

  • Researching trends and new marketing opportunities, and brainstorming ideas

Campaigns

  • Coordinating and producing financial documents for advertising campaigns, such as budgets, estimates, and contracts

  • Addressing problems and troubleshooting campaigns

  • Analyzing customer feedback and campaign performance

Social Media

  • Design social media and email schedule/calendar

  • Copywriting – Drafting social media posts (including captions/creative writing) and sending branded emails

  • Monitoring social media accounts and emails

 

website & commerce

  • Updating website – including subscriptions and e-commerce products

  • Troubleshooting home delivery orders

  • Emailing subscribers

  • Implementing search engine optimization (SEO) in online media

  • Overseeing social media accounts and websites to engage existing customers and establish positive public relations

  • Managing untappd products

REQUIREMENTS & Complementary skills

  • Professional photo and video skills are not required but are certainly an asset

  • Professional graphic design skills are not required but are certainly an asset

  • Strong visual, writing, and creative skills

  • Attention to detail

  • French language skills are not required but are certainly an asset

pay

This is a full-time position with annual salary based on experience.
