ABOUT SUMMER DANDY

Terroir is a French term, derived from “terre” which means land, used to describe the environmental forces and factors which affect a crop’s character and identity.

Inspired by this theme, our Head Brewer, Mark harvested dandy lion flowers and burdock roots to create a Belgian gruit-style ale.

Historically, Gruits were brewed with local herbs in place of hops, but we have the luxury of enhancing this brew with local flora as well as a touch of hops. The result is a unique and surprisingly smooth 8% ABV Belgian ale.
